I quit smoking almost 15 years ago and have not carried a lighter or matchbook since. Turns out I am different. My brother quit smoking about 8 years ago and still carries the slim, sterling Zippo engraved in Mexico that he has carried since the early 1960’s. As I talk to friends and family about the lighters, I find that many people have quit smoking but still carry their Zippo. Zippo Lighters have become an American icon and today are collected around the world. The ultimate is the 18k Gold Zippo in standard size. If you decide to have one engraved, have the work done by the finest engraver you can afford. Measures 1-1/2” x 2-1/8” x 1/2”.
