Radio-Controlled Watch
with Carbon Case
This radio-controlled wristwatch does
exactly what previous Junghans radio-controlled watches have done. It
indicates absolutely precise time. All the time. But this one does it
while resting as lightly on your wrist as any watch you have ever worn.
The case is made of carbon, a new material for watch cases, which is lighter
in weight than Titanium.
Through the most remarkable time keeping technology,
the Junghans RC is linked to the most accurate clock in the world. Each
night, through an antenna in the watch case, a microprocessor receives
a radio signal controlled by the atomic clock in Ft. Collins, Colorado
and resets the time to within 10 nanoseconds. If interference prevents
reception, the watch can be re-set at any time using the transmitter call
button. Though made in Germany, these watches are set to receive signals
from the U. S. Atomic clock only. They will not pick up signals in Europe
or other countries outside the range of the U. S. clock. The watch continues
to function on the last U. S. time zone to which it was set.
The luminous hands and hour marks along with
white numbers against the black face make it easy to tell the time. Polished
black stainless steel bezel, sapphire glass, screw on back. The wrist
strap is a beautiful molded rubber, much more durable than leather, and
looks as good.
