The International Dragon is a sleek, elegant, high-performing keelboat. Designed in Sweden as a cruiser, it was soon recognized as a racing thoroughbred and was an Olympic class from 1948 to 1972. Unlike many Olympic classes, which once withdrawn from the Games have slipped into relative obscurity, the Dragon has grown in popularity. There are now 1,619 racing Dragons registered with the National Dragon Association. Olympic champions, and often the choice of Royalty, their sleek, graceful lines, generous overhangs and powerful rigging have made them popular in 26 countries. Sailed by a crew of three people, their good looks coupled with supreme performance has sustained their popularity for over seventy years.

This Dragon model measures 31" in length, 39" high and 8" wide. Made of wood and cotton cloth. The hull is brown and Ivory.
