Straight as an Arrow
Limited to 100 Giclee on Canvas Prints
by Doug Hall
Straight as an Arrow shows two warriors sitting under an outcropping
of rock making arrows. They are probably Cherokee who at one time occupied
about 40,000 square miles of the southern Appalachian Mountains in eastern
Tennessee, western North Carolina and northern Georgia and Alabama. One
strings a new bow while the other checks the straightness of an arrow
he has just made.
The artist, Doug Hall, grew up in Southwest Missouri and cannot remember
when he did not paint. He now lives on 50 acres surrounded by the Huckleberry
State Forest. He has spent a great deal of time studying the history and
culture of the native peoples of the Eastern Woodlands and has won many
awards for his paintings of their everyday lives. The effect of his dedication
to the subject is evident in his paintings.
The stretched Giclee canvas print measures 36" x 27". Ships
in a mahogany toned frame.
Special shipping is an additional $35.00.
