William Henry Chardonnay
Blued Snakeskin Mosaic Damascus Frame, Typhoon Damascus Blade and Gold
Lip Pearl
An A. G. Russell™ Exclusive Limited to 50 Pieces
The B5 Chardonnay is the first ever offering of a William Henry button
lock built as an interframe. It was designed and built exclusively for
A. G. Russell™ customers.
This little knife studio is producing the finest and most collectible
limited edition knives in the world. The entire concept of the company
is to build knives at a level of craftsmanship to match the best of the
handmade knifemakers working today. They are accomplishing this in a studio-type
shop with a small number of craftsmen sometimes producing one-of-a-kind
pieces, but most often limited editions with the most unusual and highest
quality materials available. Much of the material is hand produced especially
for William Henry Knives.
In the case of the Chardonnay, the combination of materials, and the
treatment of those materials, is very unusual. The thing that is the most
impressive is the frame of heat blued Snakeskin Mosaic Damascus produced
by Larry Donnelly. The blueing results in a strong contrast between the
deep blue-purple and the bright silver pattern. The Damascus is a high
carbon steel with streaks of a high nickel content steel to accomplish
the bright pattern. To complement this unusual frame, Matt Conable has
chosen Devin Thomas Typhoon Damascus (stainless) for the blade, Gold Lip
Pearl for the inlay and sapphires to accent the buttons.
The button lock Chardonnay has a 2-5/8" drop point blade, blue
anodized titanium fittings and a black leather lanyard with silver beads.
Measures 3-1/4" closed and weighs 2.3 oz. Created in the William
Henry studio in Oregon. Includes a black Sharkskin ClipCase®.
