Mini Medieval Swords
These three mini swords are part of a series of six historical designs
that are replicated from swords in museum collections. All are historically
accurate. Each model includes an attractive wood and metal display stand
with a metal placard engraved with the sword type, origin and approximate
period of use. A nylon blade keeper protects the blade. Includes a presentation
box. The blades are forged from high-carbon spring steel. Overall length
ranges from 8" to 9-1/4".
Mini English Knightly Sword
The English Knightly Sword is based on an original used by one of England's
finest knights, Sir William Marshall, who served the crown faithfully
under Henry II, Richard the Lionheart and Jack Lackland. This was one
of the most popular designs of the medieval period.
Mini German Hand-and-a-Half Sword
The term "hand-and-a-half" was used colloquially to refer to
longswords in general. The longsword is commonly held in combat with both
hands, though it may be used single-handed. The German Hand-and-a-Half
Mini Sword replicates a blade and hilt style used throughout Europe around
the 15th century.
Mini Viking Sword
Viking raiders were famed for their lightning attacks on European coastal
settlements. These tactics demanded light, fast weaponry and their sword
designs were based on this need.
