A few weeks ago while I was working on a previous catalog deadline, we had a power outage that started around 7 p.m. and lasted an hour or so. While my laptop battery kept my computer working and the auxiliary lights in the hallway allowed me to move about, it was too dark in the offices to work. In the middle of copy writing and in the eleventh hour, I remembered the sample of this lantern that we were considering for inclusion in this catalog. It worked so well in this "lights out" situation, it was a cinch that it would make it into the catalog.

Taking up a small footprint, it has an adjustable brightness dimming switch and will run an incredible 10 days on low and 40 hours on the high setting on one set of batteries. Twelve ultra bright, cool to the touch LED bulbs never need replacing and keep the lantern cool. Operates on 4 D-cell batteries (not included) and is weather resistant. A great item to take camping or for emergency backup lighting.
