Kevin Robertson is a wildlife veterinarian, an experienced professional dangerous game hunter, and one of Africa's best-known authors. His books on African wildlife have sold tens of thousands of copies. The animal that is the most intriguing to him is the African buffalo for which he has respect and admiration, and which he likes to hunt more than any other animal. In Africa's Most Dangerous, with all original material including a multitude of photographs by world-class wildlife photographer Catherine Phillips Robertson, he has given us a comprehensive guide to the African buffalo including natural history, distribution on the African continent, anatomical features, trophy evaluation, preparation for the hunt, shot placement and what to do when things go wrong.
Many books on African hunting profess to deal with it all but Robertson deals with only one subject: buffalo. In fact he deals with only one subspecies of the African buffalo: the Cape or southern buffalo, the largest of the subspecies and the one with the meanest and most ferocious reputation.
We met Dr. Robertson this past January at the Safari Club International show in Reno and arranged for him to autograph forty copies of Africa's Most Dangerous for our customers. Also available without autograph. Includes hundreds of color photographs and illustrations. Hardcover. 243 pages. 8-1/2" x 11".
