Russells For Men

For years, I have been an admirer of the Sodbuster class of knives. My favorites were always those made by Eye Brand of Solingen Germany, sadly now gone. Sodbuster, of course, is now a Case® Cutlery trademark, so I cannot offer you an A.G. Russell Sodbuster. Instead, I offer two variations: the A.G. Russell Rancher and the A.G. Russell Cowboy . Both blades are 8Cr13MoV at 57-58 Rc. Very properly flat ground to a fine cutting edge, this shadow pattern slipjoint has the very dressy Federal Shield found on higher priced A.G. Russell bolstered knives. Both models have been cycle tested in our own shop to more than 200,000 cycles of opening and closing. To keep the price as low as we possibly can, they do not have belt pouches or clips - they are true pocketknives.

The Rancher is a perfect size to do any of the jobs a rancher or ranch foreman might be called on to do, such as cutting calves or colts, notching ears, and cutting rope or bailing twine. This is a 3-5/8" closed slipjoint with a 3" long, 3/4" wide blade. At about 3/8" thick, the knife rides very comfortably in a front pocket, whether jeans or dress slacks. Weighs about 2.4 oz. Made in China.
