From 1861 to 1865, the Army troops of the Civil War kept warm under Woolrich wool blankets. These were the blankets that the soldiers relied upon in the fields. Woolrich is currently manufacturing authentically reproduced versions of those blankets in the same colors and patterns as the originals. They are made by the same woolen mill that produced those original blankets, still in operation in Woolrich, Pennsylvania.

The army issued blankets with distinctive colors to the various branches. This particular pattern and color, navy blue with a red stripe, was issued to the Cavalry. To make currently produced blankets wear better and last longer than the originals, Woolrich has added 15% Nylon to the wool. Can be used as a throw or will fit a twin bed. Great for a young man with an interest in history or the military. Measures 66" x 80".

Hand wash or dry clean.
