DMT’s Double-Sided Diafold® sharpener is made especially for implements requiring a razor-sharp edge for extremely precise operations. The unique polka-dot sharpening surface is featured on one side in Extra-Fine 1200 mesh (9 micron). The other side offers a surface of Extra-Extra-Fine 8000 mesh (3 micron). About 15 years ago, I bought a large quantity of knives from a distributor in Australia. Part of that stock was from a Japanese maker who had made really good knives but the leather pouches he furnished were even better than the knives.
Forty years ago, I discovered the loss of my Arkansas stone and searched out a maker in Hot Springs. That loss prompted me to offer those stones in space ads in national magazines like the American Rifleman.

The original knife collectors polish; for polishing chrome, silver, brass, nickel silver, blade steels, etc. I have used it for over 30 years and while I have tried every new polish I run into, I have never found one to replace it.
