Minnesota wildlife artist David Maass believes that the background in his paintings is as significant as the wildlife itself. His subjects are primarily waterfowl and upland game birds that are abundant in his home state. Early Spring is a wonderful example of his ability to realistically portray wildlife in its environment. The wild turkeys - a strutting gobbler and two hens - stand in beautiful contrast to the early spring snow.

Reproduced in a limited edition of 950 lithographic prints individually signed and numbered by the artist. The image measures 16-1/2" x 25". It is double matted with a blue/gray outer mat inset with a brass name plate, then framed in a dark oak-finished frame. Measures 26-1/2" x 35" framed. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
