Knives made by Andy Roy of Fiddleback Forge are simple hardworking tools with handles that are easy on the hand and blades of high carbon tool steel for its ease of sharpening and edge holding abilities. Andy uses convex grinds and edges, which he prefers for the way they sharpen, for strength, and because convex edges do not so easily get wedged in your work.

This classic Nessmuk pattern knife features a 4" deep-bellied blade of 3/32" thick hand ground O-1 high carbon steel at 59-60 Rc. left with a primitive surface finish suitable for the Nessmuk design. A great deal of time and attention is spent on the shaping and smoothing of the handle to maximize comfortable long-term use. The handle scales are highly figured stabilized Lacewood over a full tang. Measures 8-5/8" overall and weighs 5.0 oz. Handmade in the U. S. A.
