Bighorn sheep played an important part in early native American lives, which is evident from the many representations in ancient rock art. The bighorn is represented more often than any other animal. They continue to be almost mystical given their range in high altitudes and their small numbers.
Stephen Herrero has captured this majestic animal, a ram in his prime, in clay. That original is then reproduced in alabaster powder and clear resin and hand painted. Each large piece sits on a bamboo base and each medium sits on a resin base. They are individually numbered and ship with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
