This tabletop globe is created by master craftsmen using over twenty-five Grade A, semi-precious gemstones from around the world. The gemstones are hand cut into detailed geographic shapes and individually fitted to create a stunning patchwork of contrasting color and texture. Each gemstone represents a continent or country and is indigenous to that region of the world whenever possible. Powdered Aquamarine blended with lapis and mother-of-pearl covers the surface of the oceans. The globe is then finished with latitude and longitude lines of silver ribbon, polished to a brilliant sheen and coated with 10 coats of clear acrylic to protect the globe surface. No two globes are exactly alike.

The 8-3/4" globe is held in a full meridian set in a pewter stand which measures 12-1/8" in diameter and 13-1/2" from table top to top of globe. It weighs 8 lbs. 5 oz. Includes a 25 piece stone chart and certificate of authenticity. An elegant conversation piece for your home or office.
