My football career was very short lived, but I always enjoyed throwing the ball around at family gatherings.
During a bad ice storm a couple of years ago, I became aware of a product with a funny name which looked like a great idea. I ordered four pair, one for each of my two grandsons, my wife Goldie, and myself. (The grandsons weren't so concerned about falling, but you can bet Goldie and I were.) When the Yaktrax™ arrived I was so tired of being inside, it was a great joy just to be able to get out and walk our yard. We have since provided a pair to each of our employees whose job it is to clear the driveways and sidewalks, to make the warehouse runs or any other task that requires their being outside when the weather is bad, as well as our mailman. I intend to never be without a pair again.
The popularity of snow shoeing has risen dramatically in the past few years, perhaps because snowshoes are so easy to use. There are no expensive lessons and no lengthy learning curve.
The Hudson’s Bay Company has sold point marked blankets from their founding in 1670. These throws are the same material and construction found in those blankets, just reduced in size.
Like the other Adirondack vest we offer, this dressier, lighter weight vest is made to our specifications by one of the oldest woolen mills in the United States.
