I have always been resistant to wearing hearing protection. Yes, I know that shooting or working with noisy equipment will damage your hearing without it. After years of shooting, I have lost much of my hearing. I don't like the plugs stuck in my ears and I don't like the "silence" created by most ear protection. I find it boring.

At last, Safety Tunes provides me with something I can wear that cuts the sounds that damage my hearing, but gives me something to listen to. I have been using the sample we received from the manufacturer in my woodworking shop. The radio reception is excellent and the sound quality is great. I can listen to my favorite talk radio host or favorite music station, or I can plug in my iPod and listen to the music I choose. Be warned, the outside noise reduction is so good that you will not be able to hear your wife when she walks into the shop. 2 AA batteries (included) gives you 140 hours of music.
