Spring is Here

Sunny days and green leaves

That means it's time to leave the house. Relax in a hammock with glass of lemonade, or iced tea - go for a walk in the newly green woods, or cook burgers out on the patio.

Pocket Safety Axe

In the 1970s, I was an active outdoorsman. As a farmer and a hunter, I used knives daily, and hand and larger axes at least weekly. I found this small A. G. Russell™ axe, which was being made for me in Solingen at the time, so handy that it was almost always in my hip pocket whenever I left the house. If I was on horseback, then it was fixed to the saddle.

Tilley® T4 Cotton-Duck Hat

I bought a Tilley hat a few years ago and found that it not only worked for that Christmas season, it became a regular part of my outdoor work dress.

Concord "Traveler"

A fold-up walking stick that you can pack.

Hennessy Hammock

This is a great hammock! You enter through the bottom. "Walk into the bottom of the hammock, turn around, sit down, lay back, lift your feet inside." Your weight closes the entrance, sealing out bugs and critters (also has a Velcro® closure).

Collapsible Cup

A great old idea, cups like these have been used for hundreds of years. Today they are seldom seen.
