The heritage of the birch bark canoe built by the American Indians has evolved into today's beautiful wooden canoes. Using their knowledge of wood, the early settlers transformed the one of a kind birch barks into practical craft that could be consistently produced. Years of evolution have made them faster, lighter and more durable, while retaining the simplicity and elegance of the classic designs.

The Mohawk is the perfect canoe for fly-fishermen, bird watchers, wild-life photographers and duck hunters. It measures 13'8" long, has a 39" wide beam and is exceptionally stable and easy to paddle. The canoe is quiet in the water and the cedar hull provides a warm insulation layer from cold water. It is ideal for the fisherman who likes to stand and cast, and it has plenty of room for fishing and camping gear. The Mohawk's remarkable stability also makes it the perfect platform for photographers, providing room to set a tripod allowing them to capture the wonders of nature.

The white cedar Mohawk is built over custom-designed wood/steel forms with renewable materials that are durable, easy to maintain and will last a lifetime. The wooden form ensures that each canoe is built to a uniform shape yet is individualized by the texture, color and patterns of the wood grain. A clear glass-epoxy coating is applied to the outside hull and then the entire canoe is protected with marine spa varnish.

The Mohawk constructed from white cedar and has contrasting mahogany gunnels, seats and carrying yoke. Measures 13'8" and weighs 58 lbs. 650 lb. capacity.
