For many centuries the Japanese made some of the finest edged tools in the world. In the 16th century, when they first became known to the west, Europeans were amazed at the quality of their swords, woodworking tools, knives and other edged tools including scissors. These scissors are made today as they were more than 500 years ago. The only concession we have made is to have them made from a very basic high carbon STAINLESS steel; .50-.60 Carbon, 13-14% Chromium and tiny amounts of Manganese and Molybedinum. These are not toys, they are tools that will work as well today as they have for many hundreds of years. Buy them for fly tying or other delicate work, or for your wife and daughters. The blades measure 1-3/8" and the overall length is 4-1/4". Weighs 0.6 oz.

"I have never had a pair of tweezers in my life that was worth a damn. Now I do and I appreciate it very much." Those words were spoken by General Norman Schwarzkopf about these little field tweezers.
What a handy little tool for those of us who carry one of the many knives being produced today using Torx fasteners. This website is full of knives with Torx fasteners to attach handle scales to the knife frame or to hold pocket clips that are removable or reversible.
This outstanding product is the best we have ever seen for preventing rust or staining on high carbon tool steel, or any non-stainless steel. For best results clean the metal with WD-40 or very hot water.
I designed this little knife in the late 70's. It was intended to be a light weight knife for the casual hunter, out for a morning walk in the woods.
About 15 years ago, I bought a large quantity of knives from a distributor in Australia. Part of that stock was from a Japanese maker who had made really good knives but the leather pouches he furnished were even better than the knives.
