Knifemaking in Maniago, Italy can be traced back to Medieval times. What we would refer to today as knife production seems to have begun in 1453 when the Colvera stream was re-routed to allow the water wheels that provided power for hammers and grinders. The Viper Drop has a 2" drop point blade of Sandvik 12C27 stainless at 57-59 Rc. with a fine satin finish. The blade is held securely in the open position with a liner style lock of AISI 301 hardened steel. Handle scales are highly polished Ram's Horn. Measures 3" closed and weighs 2.2 oz. Ships with a black leather pouch. Made in Italy.
