When we asked Matt Conable why they decided to add this very different style knife to the William Henry line, this is the response we received. We have decided to take it direct from the horse's mouth. "The E6 (which still needs a name) came from my desire to continue to create fine USING pocketknives as part of the William Henry brand. We make, I believe, great knives that are highly functional, but the beauty (and price tag involved) often means that they are admired, collected, but not often used. Well, I'm a knifemaker first and last, and knives are tools first and last (or should be)."
"The E6 allows me to work towards something that is an exceptional tool which meets all my expectations of fit, finish, action, and performance that are integral to WH, and is reasonably priced. It is, in short, a daily carry knife from our studio. Further, the essence of WH at this point is our studio in Oregon and the workmanship that comes from there. As such, this knife is made by the same craftspeople and subcontractors that make the most exotic WH products. It is not produced offshore, it is the essence of WH distilled to daily carry."
A. G. Russell™ Knives has chosen a black CNC handle with a creamy interior Wooly Mammoth ivory inlay. The 2-3/4" drop point is flawlessly finished D2 at 60-61 Rc. A button lock and pocket clip complete the package. Measures 3-3/8" closed and weighs 1.6 oz. Handcrafted in the William Henry Studio in Oregon.
