Employees of the Woolrich Mill created the Freedom Throw as a way to assist in rebuilding lives directly affected by the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001. A percentage of the proceeds from each sale is donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization which provides veterans suffering with combat related health issues a network of support from other service members.
The generous 60" x 72" throw pays tribute to the Stars and Stripes . It is made in the Woolrich woolen mill in Woolrich, Pennsylvania which was founded in 1830 and has produced blankets for many of the armed service branches since the Civil War. 84% wool for warmth and 16% nylon for durability.
